The biggest specialized exhibition dedicated to construction and road building machinery and commercial transportation CEMMS.Ural 2011, UralComTrans 2011 and RCIExpo.Ural 2011 took place on 12-14 April 2011 in Ekaterinburg in KOSK “Russia” exhibition centre. The exhibition organiser: RTE-Group. The event organisers say that in 2011 the market of special machinery and related services shows positive trend after the crisis decline. This is evidenced by the significant growth of the exhibitors’ number: over 100 companies from 20 cities of Russia participated in the exhibition.

The outdoor exhibition area was 100% covered with construction, road building, loading machinery and commercial transport of the world famous brands: VOLVO, HITACHI, KOMATSU, JCB, Caterpillar, Haulotte, Doosan, JOHN DEERE, NEW HOLLAND, XCMG, MANITOU, HYUNDAI, DRESSTA and many others. Russian manufacturers of IVANOVO MARKA, KRANEKS, CTZ-URALTRACK, Chelyabinsk Municipal Machines Plant, and others also chose CEMMS for the presentation of their machinery and equipment. All three days of the exhibition the participants showed their machinery in operation demonstrating the variety of their functions and features.

In the framework of the exhibition business program the Administration of Ekaterinburg hosted a conference “The Road Network of the City”. The forum was attended by the representatives of Izhevsk, Nizhny Tagil, Salekhard, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk and other Ural cities. The conference was supported by the Association of Ural Cities. The participants exchanged the experience with the municipalities of the Ural region on traffic management, maintenance, repair, and road construction.
Eugene Porunov, the President of the Association of Ural Cities, the Head of Ekaterinburg, the Chairman of the Ekaterinburg City Duma, said: “Today it is a topical issue for both megacities and small cities. Every year the high level of Russian cities motorization aggravates the capacity of the road network”.

During three days the exhibition was visited by over 3.000 specialists. According to exhibition registration data, the majority of them came from Ekaterinburg, 10% of visitors came from Sverdlovsk region, 12% - from Chelyabinsk region, 10% of all visitors came from other regions (Perm, Kurgan, Moscow, Khanty-Mansiysk region, Yamal-Nenets region, Togliatti, etc.). More than half of the visitors were directors or heads of the departments or divisions (28% and 36% correspondently), 19% were managers, 11% were leading specialists, 6% - other specialists.

According to registration statistics, 30% of visitors represented the companies dealing with manufacturing or building of industrial, civil objects, special buildings, roads and bridges, 24% of visitors represented the companies dealing with sales of machinery and parts. 28% of visitors represented the companies offering repair, leasing, logistics and transportation services. Almost all visitors (98%) were planning to visit the exhibition next year.
 
CEMMS.Ural 2011, UralComTrans 2011 and RCIExpo.Ural 2011, due to widely represented machinery and demonstration of their features, is the only project of its kind in the Ural region, that shows the rapid development. The annual show and presentations give the visitors an opportunity to estimate the benefits of the machinery in operation, to get advices from experts that represent leading brands of manufacturers from of Russia and abroad.
